General terms and conditions
These Terms and Conditions contain specific provisions that apply to all vehicle rental agreements made with Yolo Campers (Yolo Campers ehf.):

The renter is responsible for the rented vehicle from the moment it left the Yolo Campers office until the moment the vehicle is registered as returned in Yolo Campers’ system.
Vehicle types:
Yolo Campers reserves the right to change the chosen model of vehicle when the booked car model is not available.
Vehicle Rental Time:
The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours) for the car to be picked up and returned to the same same place. When the vehicle is returned one hour or more after pick-up, the Rentee will be charged according to the following rules:
Return one hour later – 30% of the fee for the day
Return two hours later – 50% of the fee for the day
Return three hours later and more – 100% of the fee for the day
Pick-up and return location:

Driving licence and age requirements for drivers:
When renting a vehicle, the driver must present a valid driving licence, which they have held for at least 12 months. The driver must be at least 20 years of age or, in the case of renting an off-road vehicle, 21 years of age.
Fuel:
Upon collection and return, the fuel tank of the rental vehicle should be kept full.
Child safety seats:
In Iceland, it is mandatory for young children to travel in the car in safety seats.
Child safety seats are available if requested in advance. They are suitable for children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years or older.
Insurance:
The liability of the third party shall always be equal to the limit set by Icelandic law. This law also determines the limit based on the personal fault of the driver. The renter shall be covered by third-party liability insurance and personal liability insurance.
A collision damage waiver insurance (CDW):
CDW insurance is included in the price, the driver’s liability is 0 ISK – for 2WD and 0 ISK – for 4WD.
The Renter shall at all times be liable for the following damages, which are not covered by either
CDW (collision damage waiver) insurance or SCDW (super collision damage waiver) insurance:
negligence, driving under the influence of alcohol, damage to tyres or the vehicle’s underside, damage to the vehicle’s engine caused by water entering the engine, any damage caused by entering a river.
Gravel damage insurance (GP – GRAVEL PROTECTION):
GP insurance covers damage to the windscreen, headlights and vehicle when gravel or stones are thrown at the vehicle by another vehicle. (As standard, GP (Gravel Protection) is included in the price).
Theft insurance (TP – THEFT PROTECTION):
TP insurance covers the theft of the rented vehicle. (Standard TP (Theft Protection) is included in the price).
